Volunteer in Puerto Rico

Solidarity Brigade volunteer projects provide relief for the immediate needs of the people of Puerto Rico during this humanitarian crisis. In particular, to address the gaps in resources provided by other national and global aid, forming a grassroots network of people building resilience, not bureaucratic relief.

Volunteers will be part of the ‘solidarity brigades’, small groups mobilized for the cleaning phase, planting phase, and overall education of farmers communities on sustainable practices. Volunteers will be involved in activities like hurricane clean up, reforestation, agroforestry, organic and sustainable organic farming. â€‹This is perfect for people who love working outdoors and in nature.

There is also important work being done to train farmers in sustainable agriculture, like irrigation systems, including rainwater collection techniques, soil regeneration, tree planting, solar energy and â€‹humanure.

During your volunteer experience, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact in the community and grow
